About this talk

While cyber security protection has largely focused on technology to thwart a range of threats, what has been almost entirely overlooked is the pervasive and damaging risk, centred in human factors—workforce and individual behaviours that are the primary cause of successful cyber intrusions.

Understanding what impact human factors has on cyber security will become an essential component of managing cyber risk and an integral part of overall risk management.

Learning Objectives: 1. How to develop a clear understanding of the risks posed by individuals in mounting an overall cyber security defence of an organisation 2. Become familiar with the psychological underpinnings of human behaviors that create vulnerability to cyber risk 3. Introduce leading-edge methodologies and practices for assessing vulnerabilities and cyber risks posed by individuals and for instituting effective remediation programs.
