Joanna Kippax

Joanna is a qualified senior nurse prescriber and certified sleep practitioner. She has 37 years of nursing experience in the NHS, before establishing WyeSleep, a unique and thriving independent sleep health business, based in Herefordshire. Joanna was trained by Professor Jason Ellis (Professor of Sleep Science and Director of the Northumbria Sleep Research Laboratory) to deliver CBTI (cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia) the first line treatment for insomnia. She also uses ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) in her practice to support clients with insomnia. In between seeing her clients, Joanna has also set up The Sleep Retreat, a weekend retreat to treat insomnia, whilst having a relaxing stay in a luxury hotel. She writes for health and wellbeing publications, speaks on the radio and delivers sleep workshops for businesses on all things sleep.
